Fourth-Space Chapel

Starting November 6, Kunstraum will host the Fourth-Space Chapel exhibition designed by artist Dome Wood and curator Valentine Himpens-David. This brand-new exhibition offers a unique reflection on the possibility of contemporary spirituality at the intersection of art and science.

For more than twenty years, Dome Wood has been exploring the links between metaphysics, art, and consciousness. His work is part of an in-depth investigation into what he calls the “fourth-space” an invisible and spiritual space beyond our ordinary reality, where the mind can access another reality made up of infinite possibilities. This radical freedom, which the artist claims as a form of existential resistance, is in line with quantum logic, according to which reality is never fixed, but indeterminate, unpredictable, and open. Art thus becomes a threshold between two worlds: that of multiple possibilities (the quantum world) and that of their appearance in tangible reality (the classical world).

“Quantum Time Tunnel” is a micro-architecture, the centerpiece of the exhibition, inviting visitors to cross a threshold and experience a different relationship with time, matter, and consciousness. In this space, the ordinary laws of the world are suspended and the mind is free to be or not to be, to know or not to know. Inside this installation is a selection of abstract paintings of great physical and spiritual intensity. Each one, created with small, wave-like strokes using an extremely fine brush, evokes buried forms, vibrations, and depths, like the bowels of a parallel world and an inner landscape. Through their play of shadows, textures, and light, they embody a place of transition between what we perceive and what eludes us.

Founder of the 4th Space Meditation Center and co-founder of the Agpronostic Temple, Dome Wood conceives his exhibitions as spaces of transformation. Between mental architecture and collective ritual, his works are invitations to suspend knowledge, to inhabit uncertainty, and to allow oneself to be carried away by spiritual and metaphysical experiences.

At Kunstraum, he continues this approach with a new perspective that questions our relationship to reality, time, and inner freedom.
