EXHIBITION
                        1, 2, 3 & 4th of December 2022

" The Measure of Time"

This exhibition questions the subjective variations of the measurement of things.
Two artists come together to present different ways of perceiving time and seek to make perceptible what we cannot observe.

Through their works, these two artists' own rhythms intertwine to celebrate the present moment in their skilled way of playing with the concept of time using different techniques and medias. The artists present a series of artworks where the painting express an individual vision of what time is.

HANNAH KIRCHER

I like to think of my work as an elastic material to be shared, which unfolds through different mediums, painting, sound and installation.

My language of artistic expression is always turned towards the body – human and non-human: as a tool and as an object of visual representation. As in an experimental laboratory, my practice questions the nature of reality.
Through the exploration of several types of environments, I weave stories of people from the places they inhabit. In these stories, I create a new space, open to interpretation.

I summon an aesthetic of slowness, of drop by drop in gentle immersion.
My work invites the viewer to careful observation and silent listening to the work in progress. The slow degradation of the mobilized elements questions our relationship to time and to the living.

GUILLAUME THUNIS

My work explores the relationship with time and infinity and takes on a cyclical character through the gesture’s repetition.

In my day-to-day life, I am in a constant search of an element of response to my quest for the time’s cycle in my environment.

I often start creations that require an extreme patience and practice then a meditative draw, point by point, or tracing circles always bigger with the intention creating a space of freedom for the observer. It is by doing this and losing the notion of time that I regain control, by drawing the passing time.
