Based on the first April 2022 Edition at Kunstraum which was successfully curated by Kendell Geers,
this exhibition intensifies the Dialogue with Disrupture.
30 Years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Apartheid Regime in South Africa, artistic imagination shows the expression of these dramatic changes.
With 11 artists’ interpretations, a thrilling extract of these 30 years periods’ creativity is presented by this exhibition.

The exhibition invites visitors to explore the inner experience of time through three distinct artistic approaches. Erica Hinyot presents her toiles organiques hors temps, where matter and temporality intertwine. Thomas Vanoost captures the movement and chaos of reality in his photographic compositions, while Guillaume Thunis reveals his tracés à l’infini, gestures that extend beyond the instant. Together, their works offer a dialogue on perception, duration, and the fluidity of time.

This exhibition was curated by the renown artist, Kendell Geers and rooted itself in a new era with on one hand the Fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 and on the other hand the end of the Apartheid-regime in South Africa, the Presidency of Nelson Mandela in May 1994 and the rise of the present socio-economical and political instability.
